Klarrio Joins European Digital Sovereignty Alliance
Klarrio has joined the European Sovereign Tech Industry Alliance (ESTIA). The alliance was recently formed to establish an independently controlled and more competitive European digital economy.
Klarrio signed the EU Sovereign Cloud Pledge, along with several leading European technology companies including A1 Digital, Airbus, Dassault Systèmes, Deutsche Telekom, evroc, IONOS, OpenNebula Systems, Orange, OVHcloud, Post Luxembourg, Schwarz Digits, Sopra Steria, and Telecom Italia.
The Pledge calls for decisive action in two key areas:
- the clear definition of sovereign cloud in the Cloud and AI Development Act (CAIDA), and
- the strategic public procurement policy to support EU sovereign cloud services.
According to Kurt Jonckheer, CEO of Klarrio, the company shares ESTIA’s commitment to speaking with a united European voice to advance digital sovereignty and competitiveness throughout the EU.
“Klarrio has been advocating for European digital sovereignty since we first opened our doors in 2016. From the very beginning, we’ve been providing global customers with cloud-agnostic, open source-based solutions that enable them to remain in full control of their data.
“ESTIA’s goal aligns perfectly with our vision of a sovereign and competitive European future,” Jonckheer said.
